In August, our mission trip to Taiwan was especially memorable. I vividly remember how our flight was denied landing at Kaohsiung Airport due to a severe storm. After circling for some time, the weather finally improved, and we landed safely. Brothers from the local ministry picked us up and arranged for us to share testimonies and God’s Word in both men’s and women’s prisons, as well as several halfway houses. We thank God for giving us such a meaningful opportunity to serve. We were deeply encouraged to see how our visit inspired the inmates and staff, who expressed hope that we would return.
We believe these missions are only the beginning—just the tip of the iceberg. There is still a great harvest waiting to be gathered, for the Lord says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Amen.
On 28 August 2025, we were honoured to welcome delegates from the China National Narcotics Control Commission (CNNCC), together with the Singapore Prisons Service (SPS) and the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB). Among the distinguished guests were Ms Gong Xiuli, Director of the Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Division, and Mr Wen Zhirong, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Division. Through our sharing of Breakthrough’s vision, mission, and faith-based rehabilitation programme, we testified to the transformative power of God. Our music team performed original songs in Chinese and Hokkien composed by Breakthrough brothers. Pastor Lim Sing Sing shared his testimony, followed by heartfelt stories from two brothers in the Halfway House Service Model (HSM prison) programme. Praise God! We give all glory to God for this opportunity to proclaim His redeeming grace to these officials.
