In August, our mission trip to Taiwan was especially memorable. I vividly remember how our flight was denied landing at Kaohsiung Airport due to a severe storm. After circling for some time, the weather finally improved, and we landed safely. Brothers from the local ministry picked us up and arranged for us to share testimonies and God’s Word in both men’s and women’s prisons, as well as several halfway houses. We thank God for giving us such a meaningful opportunity to serve. We were deeply encouraged to see how our visit inspired the inmates and staff, who expressed hope that we would return.
We believe these missions are only the beginning—just the tip of the iceberg. There is still a great harvest waiting to be gathered, for the Lord says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Amen.
We thank God for the start of a budding partnership between Faith Community Baptist Church’s (FCBC) elderly community outreach group and Breakthrough! On 5 Sep 2025, Pastor Jason Tan and his team from FCBC brought this group of elderly people to visit Breakthrough for the first time. Together, we shared songs and testimonies of God’s power and goodness with the elderly guests, many of whom are not yet believers.
Brothers from our prison HSM programme participated actively, engaging with the guests, leading them on interactive tours of our compound, and serving food lovingly prepared by our kitchen team. Praise the Lord! Thank God for this beautiful opportunity to sow seeds of the gospel and serve the elderly community. May this be the first of many meaningful outreach visits!
