Visit by Associate Prof Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim  

Breakthrough Missions was honoured by the visit of Associate Prof Dr. Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development end of December 2021. 

The Minister was given a warm welcome by a group of ‘ex-junkies’. He showed concern for their well-being, and was greatly encouraged by how their lives had been transformed. He challenged and motivated them to move on in life with the right perspectives, to stay strong and keep away from drugs. 

Pastor Simon, Breakthrough's Executive Director, shared the vision of Breakthrough Missions and how, by relying only on God, Breakthrough has come thus far. 

The visit lasted about an hour. The Minister said he was very impressed as it was an eye-opener for him to witness and understand the hard work involved in the halfway house ministry. 

During the Lunar New Year 2022 period, the Minister purchased 100 delicious nasi lemak bento sets for the staff and brothers of Breakthrough. What a thoughtful and heart-warming gesture!
